Senior picture-time is one of the highlights in every high school senior school year. This is the year when so many changes are happening in your life.
Anything from stepping into adulthood, maybe getting your first car, and making decisions about which college to apply for. For many, it is time when they also move out of their parents’ homes.

CHOOSING THE PHOTOSHOOT LOCATION
Elizabeth’s high school senior photoshoot took place in the wintertime. We don’t get snow here, in this part of California, but still need to watch out for possible rain.
To be on a safe side, we scheduled her senior pictures in our Sacramento studio. Although, we allowed an option to switch to outdoor location if weather permits.
Choosing the right senior photoshoot location is very important, it will set the mood for the whole session.
When the day of senior photoshoot came, we were both relieved that the weather was sunny and not very chilly. This was working out so well! With the help of our styling tips for flattering senior portraits, we documented stunning magazine-cover portraits for Elizabeth.

SENIOR PORTRAITS IN STUDIO
Sergey Bidun met up with Elizabeth in his Sacramento studio on this sunny but chilly winter afternoon. The senior photo session started with some studio portraits, as you can see throughout the photo gallery.
After some creative portraits with Elizabeth in the studio, we headed to the Downtown Roseville area. This location is only about 30 minutes away from Downtown Sacramento in northern California.

OUTDOOR PHOTOSHOOT TIME
When we arrived at Roseville, the first location where we took photos was the rooftop of a large parking structure. It is in the center of downtown. This rooftop is often empty and serves as a cool location for awesome senior pictures.
The high school graduate Elizabeth felt very relaxed in front of the camera. The whole photo session ran very smoothly and time was flying by.
Our styling and posing tips helped to achieve a lot of different looks. Liz was enthusiastic to try out different locations and poses throughout the shoot.
Looking at these senior portraits, it’s even hard to say that this was a slightly windy, winter photo session.
DRAMATIC PORTRAITS WITH THE SUNSET LIGHT
We took a couple of breaks in between – for Elizabeth to warm up in her jacket and recharge. During that time, we joked around, talked about educational and career goals, and just had a great time.
The sunset was pretty amazing and gave us a chance to play around with the shadows and achieve dramatic pictures. Those images were some of Elizabeth’s most favorite photos from her Roseville senior photography session.
EXPLORING THE STREETS FOR UNIQUE BACKDROPS
Whenever we have an urban style photoshoot, we like exploring the streets looking for different and unique backdrops. It might surprise how much influence a great location gives to a photoshoot.
While the sun was still out, we walked through the streets of Downtown Roseville documenting senior portraits and creating memories.
