Surrounded by the glory of mighty redwoods, Alina & Dion got married on a warm summer afternoon. It was a very special ceremony under a cathedral of trees in this darling private estate.
Finding such a unique and magical wedding venue was not easy. Bride Alina spent a significant amount of time looking for a perfect location where the forest would be ideal for them. Sergey Bidun Wedding Photography team was excited to capture their intimate moments.

ISLAND FARM VENUE LOCATION
The Island Farm is a family-owned property rested in the hills of San Gregorio, California. Our wedding photography team was here for the first time. The owners at this gorgeous woodsy venue made us feel very welcome, like at home, and we instantly felt like part of the family.
At Sergey Bidun wedding photography, we are always on a quest to find the most amazing wedding venues. The Island Farm is one of our new favorite forest wedding venues that we had a privilege to work at.
WEDDING DAY AT THE ISLAND FARM
This forest wedding was so phenomenal in every way. Every detail reflected the earthy essence of the setting. There is so much to tell about this whimsical location and the super amazing wedding day of Alina & Dion.
This is one of those times when we feel incredibly blessed to be California wedding photographers. It’s truly a blessing to photograph such beautiful couples in love!
The bride and groom preparation time took place in gorgeous private wooden rooms with antique furniture. These cabins are so cozy and are perfect intimate moments.
Alina and Dion had a magical first look outdoors, under the marvelous redwoods. After taking some pictures with the bridal party, we decided to take more romantic images of just the bride and groom. That special place was a cute mini-lake that’s located right on the property.
Sergey Bidun wedding photography team was excited to capture every special moment, every little detail at this wedding. The wedding color hues and decor really complemented this unique setting.
WEDDING CEREMONY & RECEPTION
The wedding ceremony was very intimate and emotional, with the couple’s closest family and friends joining in. Both the bride and groom showed their genuine excitement to be wedded in front of their closest people. We felt so honored to be chosen as wedding photographers for such an incredible couple!
When the sun just started to set, the wedding reception started, and all the fun began! Many heartfelt speeches were said from parents, maid of honor, and the best man. Guests and their kids could enjoy interesting and fun games.
We got to witness very emotional moments between the newlywed couple throughout the evening. It’s was so special to photograph so much LOVE at that epic wedding!
ROMANTIC PICTURES AT THE BEACH
Even though the wedding reception came to an end, our wedding photography team had something very exciting to look forward to. Alina & Dion wanted us to photograph more of their beautiful love the very next day. This type of romantic photo session is also called the Second Day Session!
After getting proper rest and a good recharge, we were ready to start with the romantic couple’s photo session. We spent time capturing photos at the forest first, wandering through the many paths, finding one unique location after another.

As the day was approaching sunset time, we planned to drive out to San Gregorio State Beach for those perfect golden hour sunset portraits. The ocean was calm that day, and the beach was empty – a dream for every wedding photographer!
We met the sunset taking beautiful and romantic couple’s images, and after that headed back home to Sacramento, California.
